7. Pray with Humility

Humility according to the Bible is seeing yourself the way God does. For believers in Christ, that includes being willing to admit our sin as we become aware of it, and also acknowledging what the Lord has done and is continuing to do in one’s life…. Praying with humility means praying with a keen awareness of who we are in Christ. For example, when we pray with humility, we pray as those who by grace have been given eternal life, who are forgiven, who are citizens of the kingdom of God, in whom God lives by his Holy Spirit, who have been made heirs with Christ of all things, who are dearly loved by God, who are kingdom agents on a mission, who still struggle with sin, who need to daily confess our sins, who are disciplined by God for our good, who do not live by social points but by faith.
