4. Pray as a Warrior

As citizens of the kingdom, we are at war. Praying for the full coming of the kingdom means involvement in warfare against the defeated but still roaring and dangerous forces of evil that are determined to undermine the kingdom of God…. I sometimes wonder how our prayer life would change if we were able to actually see the spiritual war between the angels and the demons going on around us as they battle for the allegiance of humanity–like when God opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant to see God’s army protecting them from the enemy.⁠But the Bible asks us to “see” it by faith.
